The Scribante Group was established in 1939.

The Group currently operates from our Head Offices in Johannesburg, whilst having satellite offices in Richards Bay, Rustenburg, Witbank, Ermelo, Northern Cape with the Zambian offices and workshop facilities being set up in Chingola during the second quarter of 2023.

The nature of the work undertaken ranges from open-cast mining, mine rehabilitation, mine infrastructure development, major earthworks, minor earthworks and roadworks, freeway construction, township developments and plant hire. Currently, mine rehabilitation and open-cast mining constitutes 60% of the company’s revenue.

A drilling and blasting division was established in 1983 in order to offer clients turn key contract mining solutions. We provide services to the mining, quarrying and construction industries throughout Southern Africa. It specializes in providing a rock-on-ground (ROG) service to these markets and prides itself on being well managed and financially astute to offer efficient and effective services by a stable and safe workforce.

Scribante Mining Limited was created through our strategic engagement with partners and 51% shareholders, Konic Solutions (Zambia) Limited, a wholly owned Zambian and managed private business who are well established in the utilities, mining, manufacturing related industries in Zambia. This partnership allows us, as a group, to operate effectively and efficiently, giving us an understanding of the local Zambian legislations and market in order to offer clients our services confidently.
